Description
Jim Stroh at Alpha Precision Inc. has been customizing handguns since 1981 on a full time basis, and 20 years prior as a hobby. A 30+ year Life Membeer of the NRA, and a member of the American Pistolsmiths Guild since 1984. While the work is varied, most involves Ruger and Smith & Wesson revolvers, and 1911 semi autos. Custom cylinders and line-bore chambering are included in services for Ruger single actions. The well equipped shop includes metal lathes, horizonal and verticle mills, oxyactelyene and TIG welding, grinders, polishers, Rockwell hardness tester, chronograph, Ransom machine rest, and a wide variety of hand tools, fixtures, and gauges unique to the profession.
